Perhaps most intriguing of all, Supacell is not based on an existing comic or franchise, making its success even more of an accomplishment in a world of remakes, reboots, and adaptations. This critical success, added to the show’s soaring viewership numbers on Netflix, makes the case for a sophomore outing. Netflix heard the call as well, and wasted no time in renewing Supacell for a second season.
